Robert K. Moore | Attorney | Pro Bono

Encouraged by his mother to enter the field of law, Robert K. Moore is now a distinguished pro bono attorney of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science in economics and business from Lafayette College in 1999, he went on to obtain a Doctor of Jurisprudence from New York Law School in 2005. Mr. Moore commenced his career as an attorney for government contracts., Backed by extensive legal experience in federal tort and administrative law, as well as in insurance defense, intellectual property and criminal law, he has flourished as a pro bono attorney, with a focus on family law, since 2012. Additionally, Mr. Moore has also been a volunteer with the D.C. Bar Government Lawyer Pro Bono Program since 2013.

Alongside his work as an attorney, the U.S. Postal Service has employed Mr. Moore for more than one decade. Influenced by his sister, who worked for the U.S. Postal Service, he became interested in contracting services and served as a purchasing specialist from 2006 to 2009 and again since 2012. Likewise, Mr. Moore served as lead on the USPS Voyager Program between 2014 and 2018, working on high value contracts. From this experience, he earned numerous accommodations for working with the Voyager Program for Recruitment. In five years’ time, Mr. Moore aims to take on a position as director of deputy of general counsel at a government organization. Reflecting on his career thus far, he thanks his various mentors, which include his parents, sister, Professor David Chang, Matthew Smalls, Daniel Seratelli and Jamar Cherry.
